    Galapagos Islands

    Day 3-15: Galapagos Islands

Most people associate luxury cruises they could never afford with the Galapagos and that’s exactly how the majority travels the crown jewel of Ecuador. But there is also an affordable way.

    Quito

    Day 1-2: Quito
This city is located on almost 3’000m and right next to the equator. This is rather impressive, but also rather cold. So put on some warm cloths when you explore the city, taste the local food and climb the tower of the Basilica de Voto National to enjoy an impressive view over this big city.

    Ecuador

    Baños

    Day 16 – 18: Baños
Baños is also called the city of baths, because it sits right at the source of many thermal springs. Those hot pools feel especially rewarding, after you hiked up to the Casa de Arbol and swung right at the edge or after you mastered 2’000m of Zip-lining.

    Ecuador

    Alausi

    Day 19: Alausi
The name Devil’s Nose originates not from the shape of the mountain but from the fact that many workers died during the construction of the railroad. They died of Malaria, Yellow Fever, snake bites and uncontrolled dynamite explosions. But nevertheless the train ride is spectacular and absolutely recommended.
