An entire year of travelling!

When we first thought about a 1-2 year world trip the idea scared us. Not particularly the travelling, but the fact that we had to give up our well-paid jobs, give up our lovely apartment in the heart of Zurich and say good-bye to our beloved ones for a long time.

But didn’t Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa’s first woman president, say: “If your dreams to not scare you, they are not big enough”?
It was a conflict not only for our minds but also for our hearts but in the end the desire to fulfill our dream kept the upper hand. We took the risk and now, one year later we are still on the road. We travelled Africa, North America, Central America, South America and Australia so far and made more experiences than we would have ever dreamed off.

Our braveness was rewarded with a huge personal development. We saw places and animals we have never seen before, dived into cultures we knew barely nothing about and learned a completely new language. We learned how to take better photos and videos and edit them. Speak to a camera, fly a drone all over the world, set up and operate a web-site and write articles.

We learned to live with a budget, a certain amount of uncertainty and to continuously plan ahead to get the most out of our trip.
