Scandinavia’s rural and beautiful Landscape
There are many places worth visiting in Scandinavia but unfortunately most of them are quite far from each other. Luckily this is not the case with those three lovely cities as they can be easily combined by train.
Copenhagen is simply beautiful. It is full of picturesque churches and buildings and the harbor front with its colorful houses looks like a painting itself. One of the many things you can do in this lovely city is to stroll around and breath in the atmosphere. In case you are not afraid of heights you should definitely climb the Church of our Saviour. This church contains a helix spire with an external winding staircase that can be climbed to the top where the brave ones can touch the golden ball sitting there. It is a thrilling experience, especially on a windy day when the tower is slightly moving.
A short train ride away are Malmö and Gothenburg in Sweden. While Malmö is a good place to relax, Gothenburg has quite some things to offer. The city is home to one of the top ten amusement parks in the world (Forbes magazine 2005). It offers rollercoasters and shows and the former best wooden tracked roller coaster in the world. As Gothenburg is situated at the coast of Sweden there is also the possibility to take a boat tour out to the Southern Goteborg Archipelago. There are more than 5’000 permanent residents on those remote islands and they are completely car free. Talking about car free, to get back to Copenhagen you simply hop on the next train and back you are.
