On our way back to Miami Beach we had dinner at Lower Matacumbe Key but we weren’t the only ones having dinner there. Right next to the restaurant the fishermen were filleting their catch of the day and as they were throwing the leftovers into the sea a group of nurse sharks and a lemon shark were taking their turns to catch those pieces. Some pelicans also waited at the sideline but only the truly brave ones tried to catch a piece from time to time.
The next day we enjoyed Key Biscayne and Miami Bayside in Downtown and we came to the conclusion that those two places were way more appealing to us than Miami Beach. We enjoyed a last dinner at the Bayside before we sadly had to say goodbye to Daniela’s family who was flying back to Switzerland while we continued on our world trip to Mexico.
